Our key priorities include:

  • The swift implementation of and allocation of resources for Bayside Council’s Climate Emergency Action Plan
  • The continued implementation and robust funding of the three Bayside reserve masterplans, in particular the Yalukit Willam Nature Reserve Masterplan, the Highett Grassy Woodlands Masterplan and the Wangara Road Masterplan, with a focus on biodiversity
  • The continued implementation and robust funding of the Urban Forest Strategy, the extension of the Vegetation Protection Overly across Bayside, the Biodiversity Action Plan, and Marine and Coastal Management plans
  • A commitment to maintaining, and expanding public open space for passive use, for example, Lakeside Green, Elsternwick Park South and the Hampton Hub and associated public open space.
  • The preservation and protection of green space along the Bayside foreshore, remnant inland bushland and woodland reserves and other significant areas of Bayside.
